As parents of little humans and larger dogs ourselves, we understand how hard it can be to find stylish and thoughtful self catering accommodation that covers all the bases – luckily here at The Barns you don’t need to sacrifice anything to have the whole family to stay with you.

Family and Child Friendly

We know how important it is to have happy babies especially when on holiday; so below is some information on how we can help you achieve this and make life in the run up and while you are here just a little bit easier.

Each Barn has downstairs bedrooms for those who prefer no stairs.
Every bedroom has an ensuite and each barn has at least 1 bath for cleaning sticky faces.
The living spaces are huge – giving everyone plenty of room for playing whilst parents can keep an eye out within the same room.
Each barn has a ‘fun’ kids sleeping room/space for sleepovers all together and hidden bathrooms!
All 20 rooms have space for a cot.
The courtyards are entirely enclosed by stone walling with grass areas for energy expelling; the stables orchard garden is huge and fence enclosed.
We have a purpose built wooden enclosed play-area with sandpit, playhouse and swings; plus a football zone for older kids.
Many of the walks from the door are child friendly and one is short but sweet for little wellingtons; lots to see/collect/stroke en route and a pushchair friendly route.
Stair gates are available on request for you to position/remove.
Each barns has a selection of games/toys/tvs and there are 2 older kids games rooms.

We know from experience just how crammed the car gets when travelling with infants so to save some space and plenty of stress/worry, we offer a range of modern equipment that can be pre-ordered and ‘borrowed’ on arrival at no charge. If you request this on booking, a comprehensive list will be sent out in your booking details.

Dog Friendly

We know it’s an absolute joy to holiday with pets but it’s not always easy to find fabulous accommodation that allow dogs to visit too. Here at The Barns you do not need to worry and you will not have to sacrifice staying somewhere stylish and beautiful for the sake of your best friend.

We welcome all breeds of dogs – up to 2 dogs per barn.
All garden areas are enclosed for safety.
Outdoor tap access for clean water on muddy paws.
Rural Location with plenty of dog-friendly walks from the door.
We charge £50 per dog to stay and ask that they are kept on the ground floor at all times.
We do expect you to clean up after your pooch – in every way!
Terms and Conditions do apply and need to be accepted prior to arrival.

Child Friendly Trips out

For trips with the kiddiwinks along, there are a few places nearby that are fun and well equipped - we will send a full package through once you have booked. The Small Breeds Park located just outside Kington is wonderful and well worth a visit with a small cafe on site. For indoor play, Monkey Mania in Ludlow and The Coop in Kingstone (20 mins scenic drive) for kiddy perfection for all ages inside or out - and mum fun in the form of cakes! Queenswood is a delight year round with a lovely cafe and shop and a free Gruffalo Trail through the woods to a large playground - its a win-win!
